The pressure was on at the Olympic ski slopestyle events at Phoenix Snow Park on Sunday afternoon. Nick Goepper was up to the challenge, taking home the silver for Team USA after a phenomenal final run.

Goepper won the bronze at the 2014 Sochi Games, and he was thrilled to up it to a silver. “I was thinking, this is it, this is my final chance,” he said. “I’m at my second Olympics. I want a medal.”

He continued: “I really had to dig deep. I was visualizing myself landing on the last jump, arms open just screaming, and it all came to fruition.”

For those not in the know (which included me until five minuted ago), slopestyle is when downhill skiers have to make their way through a series of obstacles and jumps. They’re judged on how they slide, twist, and flip. It’s very dope looking.
